Chat channel
This is a channel where you can have thread-based chats with other members.
A thread is a type of conversation that continues around one topic in the comments of each chat.
Create a new channel
Enter /channel in the empty space and select Channel > Chat . Alternatively, click + on the left side of the block and select Chat .
Type a channel name and description
Your channel name and description are reflected in the preview that appears when you share a link.
New post
Enter whatever in the input field at the bottom of the channel screen and press Cmd(Ctrl)+Enter or click the Send button. When you write a post, subscribers will be notified of a new post.
How to turn off notifications
Click the arrow icon next to the Send button to disable (gray) the Send notifications option.
Post reservation submission
Click the arrow icon next to the Submit button and select Schedule . Set the time you want and click Schedule .
Comment on thread
Clicking on a chat will open the thread. To write a comment, enter in the input field within the thread and press Cmd(Ctrl)+Enter or click the Submit button.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I write without logging in?
A. It depends on the writing permission of each channel. If you want to be able to use it without having to log in to SlashPage, set it to anyone. If you want only people who are logged in to use it, set it to the other option.
Q. How do I view private channels?
A. You must be registered as a member of the channel to view it. If you know the manager, please ask the manager for permission.
Q. The post (comment) input field is blocked.
A. Only members with certain permissions or higher can post in that channel.
'Only managers of the channel can write posts' : Only members with Can manage permission can write a post in the channel.
'Only members of the channel can write posts' : Only members with Can post/comment permission can write a post in the channel.
