This is a block that allows you to create a background area. You can set an image, video, or color on the background, and add other blocks such as text on top of this block.

The background is a feature currently being tested by beta testers. If you would like to use it, please apply by clicking ? > Help at the bottom left of the screen.

Add background

There are two ways to add it:

Enter /background in the blank space and press Enter to add a background block.

Click + on the left side of the block and select Background .

Add images and videos to your background

Hover your cursor over the block and click the Change Background icon.

Upload images or videos directly from the Upload tab, or add images by searching keywords on the Unsplash tab.

Change size and width

Drag and drop the left/right/down handles that appear when you hover your cursor over a section block.

What if you always want to fix the width or height to the maximum?

Hover over a block and click ... > Full Width or Full Height .

Add color to the background

Hover your cursor over the block and click the Change Background icon.

In the Colors tab, select the desired color from the palette or color picker.

View in card format

Hover your cursor over a section block, then click ... > Card Format .

Blurry view

Hover your cursor over the block and click ... > Blur Background .

Link

Hover your cursor over the block and click the link icon. (Only works when the background is set to an image.)

Enter a URL, feature, or other page or channel you want in the input field and click Save .

Add another block on top of the background

Click on the block and type / to select the block you want. You can add other blocks as in the example below.

Text, buttons, images, tables, columns, channels, etc.
You can add any block.

Array

Vertical alignment

Hover your cursor over the background block and click the alignment icon to choose the alignment you want.

Horizontal alignment

Click the handle of the block you want to align and select the alignment you want.

If the background block width and the site width are different, you can adjust the width of the blocks above the background block to match the site width.
