Currency
A field for displaying amounts with a currency unit. You can set the currency, number format, and number of decimal places. Use it to organize information managed as amounts, such as project budgets, product prices, or production costs.
Reference
A field that links posts in the same or another channel. Use it to manage related information together, such as projects and tasks or customers and inquiries.
Rollup
A field that collects and aggregates values from fields in posts linked through a reference. First, link posts using a reference field, then set the relationship field, target field, and calculation method for the aggregation. The result updates when values in linked posts change.
How to configure a rollup
In channel edit mode, click Fields → Add → Reference, then select the channel to pull values from. If a Reference field already exists, use it.
In the post where you want to display the rollup results, click + (Edit connections) in the Reference field. Select the posts to pull values from, then click the Connect button showing the number of selected posts.
In channel edit mode, click Fields → Add → Rollup.
Enter a name for the Rollup field, then select the Reference field that links the posts in the Relation field.
Select an aggregation method under Calculation. Choose Count connections to count posts, Original values to collect field values, or Sum or Average to calculate numbers.
If you are using field values, such as Original values, Sum, or Average, select the field to use under Target field. The rollup results will be based on that value in the linked posts. If the field does not appear in the list, check the channel linked to the Reference field.
Formula
This field combines values from other fields in a formula and displays the result automatically. The result updates when the input values change, and you cannot edit the calculated result directly. First, add a number field named Planned hours for the settings below and enter the planned hours. Use the number value in the Logged hours field for the total time worked.
How to configure a formula
In channel edit mode, click Fields → Add → Formula.
Enter a field name and click Edit formula.
To use the value of another field in a formula, click Insert property and select the field. You can search for a field by name. The selected field is added at the cursor position in the form prop("field name").
Click Insert function to choose a function for conditional results, numeric calculations, or processing text or dates. Enter a function name in the search box, review the description below each function, and select one. Once the function name and parentheses are added, enter the properties or values to calculate inside the parentheses.
Enter the formula below, check the result preview, then click Apply. The prop function retrieves the value of the specified field, and the minus sign (-) calculates the difference between two values. If an error appears, check the field names, quotation marks, and parentheses.
prop("Planned hours") - prop("Logged hours")
After applying the formula, click Save. The result updates automatically when a property used in the formula changes.
